Everything You Want To Know First.

Common questions from candidates considering a role at JAM — answered directly and without corporate fluff.

JAM hires HVAC technicians, commercial electricians, plumbers, general maintenance technicians, account managers, and operations coordinators. Most roles are based in Columbus, Ohio with service delivery across central and southern Ohio. We're a growing company, so new roles open regularly — check this page or email us to be notified of future openings.

Yes — training is a core part of the JAM onboarding experience. All field employees receive OSHA 10 training in their first week. We assist OSHA 30 for senior roles, support EPA 608 certification pursuit, and back employees seeking trade licensing upgrades on company time and budget. We invest in the people who invest in us.

It depends on the role. Skilled trade positions (HVAC, Electrician) require relevant licensure and experience. General maintenance technician roles can be filled by motivated candidates with as little as one year of relevant experience. For all roles, we value work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to quality as much as credentials. If you're unsure whether you qualify, email us — we'd rather have the conversation.

Our process is: (1) Resume submission → (2) Phone screen within 5–7 business days → (3) In-person or video interview → (4) Written offer within 48 hours. For field roles, the interview may include a practical skills assessment. We don't believe in ghosting candidates — every applicant receives a response. Apply by filling out the form in the career page.

Most field technicians begin each day dispatching directly to their assigned client site. Daily work includes scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, real-time photo documentation via our reporting platform, and coordination with your Account Manager on any emerging client needs. Emergency response technicians operate on rotating on-call schedules with guaranteed response compensation. No two days are identical — which is something most of our team considers a benefit.

Stop Reacting. Start Preventing.

Every day without a structured maintenance program is a day your facility is exposed to unplanned costs, compliance gaps, and operational risk. Get a free, no-obligation quote from JAM today.
